Roach working to save Lake Tapps fishery from drought | Senator Pam Roach

Sen. Pam Roach is working to save the Lake Tapps fishery from being lost to this year’s drought. Low water flow in the White River, which supplies Lake Tapps, has kept the lake from filling this year. Now that Gov. Jay Inslee has declared a statewide drought emergency, Roach learned from the state Department of Ecology that the lake cannot legally be filled, putting its economically important fishery at even more risk.
