Franklin House assisted living community celebrated the London Olympics with its own tribute games, held last week. Those games closed Friday.
Residents gathered in the Franklin commons to meet 2008 Olympian weightlifter Melanie Roach. Roach shared her Olympic story and then endowed the house's top competitors with their medals.
Resident Velva Cole won a red, white and blue quilt in Franklin's Olympic raffle.
