Hot August Night is Saturday, Aug. 29 at Allan Yorke Park in Bonney Lake

The first annual Hot August Night featuring a hot rod, custom bike show and hot dog eating contest, is noon to 6 p.m. at Allan Yorke Park, 7625 West Tapps Hwy. in Bonney Lake.

Bonney Lake Community Resources, in conjunction with the Bread of Life and Bonney Lake food banks, will host the event.

The hot dog eating contest is slated for 2 p.m. with the first 12 applicants who enter.

All registration and waiver forms must be completed and turned in with payment no later than 15 minutes before the contest start time. Entry fee is $20 and the winner receives a trophy.
