Free story times at Pierce County Libraries

As children go back to school this fall, Pierce County Library offers free story times for their younger brothers and sisters in the area.

Young children will have fun with books, and parents will learn how to help prepare them for reading, a skill that helps them succeed in school and in life.

Registration may be required.

Baby Explorers (for ages up to 24 months) is 11:20 a.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 29 to Nov. 17 at the Bonney Lake Library, 18501 90th St. E., and Fridays, Oct. 2 to Nov. 20; 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 29 to Nov. 17 at Sumner Library, 1116 Fryar Ave.

Toddler Times is 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 29 to Nov. 17 at Bonney Lake Library and Wednesdays, Sept. 30 to Nov. 4, Nov. 18; 10:30 a.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 30 to Nov. 4 and Nov. 18 at Sumner Library.

Preschool Story Time is 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 30 to Nov. 4, Nov. 18 at Bonney Lake Library; 11:30 a.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 30 to Nov. 4, Nov. 18 at Sumner Library.

Family Story Time (for families with preschool age children)

is 10:30 a.m. Thursdays, Oct. 1 to Nov. 19 at Buckley Library, 123 S. River Ave.;

Bilingual Family Story Time (in Spanish and English) is 6:30 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 28 to Nov. 16 at Sumner Library.
