Ten board members and 23 team leaders were presented with certificates of appreciation after this year’s successful Beautify Bonney Lake event.

The group was recognized at an Oct. 30 event.

More than 550 volunteers participated in the Sept. 20 event and completed projects at 15 separate sites throughout the city.

Projects included planting native plants at Crystal Meadows and Ken Simmons Park, clearing a half-acre site and planting bulbs at Victor Falls Elementary, beginning a Moriarty Heritage Garden, and laying beauty bark throughout the sites.

Board members presented with six-year awards were Mayor Neil Johnson, Andrew Lear, Gary Leaf, Randy McKibbin, and Lillian McGinnis. Two-year awards were given to Tom Watson, Jennifer Ferrell, Christy Minzey, Dan Roach and Fred Jacobsen.
