ACT1's 'Schoolhouse Rock! Live' opens Friday

ACT1 Theatre Productions' rendition of "Schoolhouse Rock! Live" opens Friday at the Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse.

The show is a stage production of the musical edutainment series that ran off-and-on from 1973 to 2009. The show cast made an appearance at the Aug. 20 Sumner City Council meeting to perform "The Tale of Mr. Morton" and "Preamble"—songs about subject/predicate relationships and the United States Constitution, respectively.

The show will run this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m., Sept. 14 and 15 at 7 p.m., and Sept. 16 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens, and free for children under five years of age.

The Old Cannery is located at 13608 Valley Avenue East in Sumner.
