Bonney Lake High School’s drama department’s spring play “You Can’t Take it With You,” will open Friday.

The play opens at the Sumner Performing Arts Center at Sumner High School at 7 p.m.

The production, a comedy in three acts by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, opened in 1936. It won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama the following year.

The story follows main character Alice Sycamore as she attempts to introduce her fiance to her eccentric, life-loving family.

Additional showtimes will be at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are on sale at $9 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. They can be purchased at the ticket office starting an hour before the show or in advance from Bonney Lake High.
