West Valley Highway in Sumner closed this morning, Sunday, due to a mudslide. The road is closed from 24th Street to 38th Street.

According to a source from the city police department, road crews will continue working on the blockage through the late afternoon and they hope to clear the obstruction before the Monday morning commute hours.

UPDATE: West Valley Highway re-opened at 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening. It is cleared for commute.
