Superintendent Craig Spencer and Sumner School District's board of directors invites students, parents and families to an open house this Wednesday, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the opening of Bonney Lake Elementary and the  modernization of the campus. The campus was renovated under the 2007 "Promises Made, Promises Kept" Capital Projects Bond.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. Afterward, visitors are invited to take open house tours of the campus. At 5:30 p.m., the campus will be formally dedicated.

Visitors are invited to contribute photographs to a digital photo album. The album is being created to commemorate the last 50 years of life on campus, according to Principal Sandy Miller.

Any photos of the campus over the past half-century are welcome at the Nov. 16 open house to be scanned and displayed on the campus webpage.
