Bonney Lake government and police department are now on Twitter

In an effort to reach more citizens in more ways, the city of Bonney Lake this week announced the launch of a pair of Twitter accounts dedicated to city information.

Residents can now follow @CityBonneyLake for general updates and @BLPoliceDept for announcements and alerts posted directly by the police department.

The city considers social media sites, including the city blog, Facebook (@CityBonneyLake) and Twitter feeds, to provide another means to drive traffic to the city's website. which remains the primary source of information from the city of Bonney Lake.
