The City of Sumner has won a competitive peanut butter collection drive against the City of Puyallup.

Sumner collected 0.119 jars per capita—the figure that counted in the contest due to the cities' disparate populations—against Puyallup's 0.102 jars per capita. That brought Sumner's contribution to 1,130 jars out of 4,918 jars total.

The collections benefitted the inventories of the cities' respective food banks.
