Update | Young man transported to hospital after water rescue on Lake Tapps | East Pierce Fire and Rescue

Dive teams from East Pierce Fire and Rescue, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to a report of a water rescue on the north end of Lake Tapps at Pierce County Park, just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Divers found the young man approximately 15 minutes after the first crews arrived. He was transported by boat to a waiting medic unit. Firefighter-paramedics treated the patient at the scene and transported him to a local hospital.
