Man hit by vehicle in Bonney Lake | East Pierce Fire and Rescue

East Pierce firefighters responded to a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle while walking on the 10100 block of 214th Avenue East at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The News Tribune reported the 47-year-old man died.

Witnesses said the man was walking north when he was struck from behind by a vehicle traveling the same direction. Bystanders performed CPR until crews arrived.

The patient was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A portion of 214th Avenue was closed while Bonney Lake Police Department investigated the incident.
