East Pierce battles brush fire near Falling Waters

Firefighters from East Pierce Fire and Rescue Monday morning battled a brush fire in the woods behind the Falling Waters subdivision in Bonney Lake.

No one was injured and no homes were threatened in the blaze.

Firefighters were called to the scene at approximately 8:30 a.m.. Four engines and 10 firefighters battled the blaze before getting it under control.

East Pierce officials found no obvious signs of ignition, but believe the fire was probably caused by humans.
