Volunteers are needed to help serve breakfast, lunch or dinner to school-aged students this summer through the Bonney Lake Food Bank's Summer Feeding Program.

The meals will be offered June 26 to Aug. 29 for students through 18 years of age and are funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

“Last year went very well,” Bonney Lake Food Bank Director Stew Bowen said. “We were able to serve 8,000 meals.”

To keep up, the food bank is asking for the public's help Monday through Friday when it offers meals at five locations.

Meals at Allan Yorke Park will include breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to noon at Cedar View Park; Noon to 1 p.m. at the Prairie Ridge Community Center; and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Ponderosa neighborhood, Bowen said.

To volunteer or for additional information, call 253-863-4043 or 253-891-6870.
