A fund has been established at Washington Mutual Bank for the benefit of a 7-month-old baby recently assaulted in Enumclaw (see attached story).

The Enumclaw Police Officers Association opened the account with a $1,000 donation. The Chinook Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Enumclaw Domestic Violence Task Force have also made donations, as have local businesses. As of Friday morning, the balance had climbed to more than $1,500.

Funds will be used to assure the baby's immediate needs are met and will be managed by a member of the Officers' Association.

Contributions can be made to the "Enumclaw Baby" fund at any Washington Mutual branch, or by contacting Andie Rymill at the Enumclaw Police Department, 360-825-3505.
