Enumclaw seeks comp plan opinions
By Kevin Hanson, The Courier-Herald
The city of Enumclaw is encouraging members of the public to drop by the community library Thursday night to share their views of what the city's future should hold.
The city has embarked on a nearly year-long process of updating its comprehensive plan, a document that spells out how the city should evolve. As part of that process, the city has planned four public information sessions, and Thursday night will mark the third such event.
City staff will be on hand from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to explain the comp plan process and take information.
Les Johnson, who heads the city's Department of Community Development, said each of the interactive meetings is slightly different. For that reason, he is encouraging people to attend, even if they were at one of the earlier library meetings.
A date for the fourth and final public meeting has not been determined, but will likely be at the end of May, Johnson said.
