Burglar leaves clue for victim and police

A burglar in Bonney Lake left a message, and a clue, on March 7.
When Bonney Lake Police officers responded to a call at 3:19 p.m. on 60th Street East they found a house with many items stolen.
According to Lt. Thomas H. Jenkins, the officers also discovered the burglar had used an ink pen to scribble the words, "Lock Your Door" on a door leading to the downstairs section of the house.
At 7:15 p.m. that night the victim notified the police department he had contacted a suspect in Auburn, obtained a confession from him and was in the process of recovering his stolen property.
Auburn authorities notified the Bonney Lake Police Department at 9:35 p.m. they were at the Chevron Gas station on Forrest Canyon Road and were assisting the victim.
Bonney Lake Police Department officers arrived on the scene and arrested a white male suspect for the burglary. An investigation by Bonney Lake Detectives led to the recovery of stolen property at a residence in Auburn and Pacific.
The case is currently under investigation for additional suspects.
