A 60-year-old female was found dead in her home on 153rd Avenue East shortly after noon Monday and Sumner police are investigating the incident as a murder.

According to city spokeswoman Carman Palmer, a person known to the victim's family was located and arrested Monday afternoon.

The city is not releasing further details, but KING-TV reported a 19-year-old female was arrested.

Detectives cordoned off the area around the home and the Regional Crime Response Unit is assisting with the investigation, Palmer said. The unit is comprised of police officers from multiple cities including Sumner, Lakewood, Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Fife, Milton and Buckley.
