April 9, 2009 · 2:25 PM
East Pierce Fire and Rescue Chief Jerry Thorson addressed the Bonney Lake City council April 7, stating that his department wants to continue the relationships it has with cities in its service area.
"I know we have a few issues that we need to work on, such as the public safety building," Thorson said. "We also have some growth needs where we need a new training center and a new administrative facility."
Thorson said he wants to strengthen and build on the past relationship with the city. He also told the council he or a senior staff representative plan to attend the council meetings.
"This is an exciting time for us," Thorson said. "We want to be good partners."
Thorson said he is looking at a home in the Bonney Lake and Lake Tapps area.
