Unofficial, election-night vote totals showed the Enumclaw School District's $42.9 million bond issue was failing.

"No" votes made up 51.63 percent of the total, with 48.37 percent voting "yes." The proposal required 60 percent voter support to pass.

The Tuesday night (May 20) results were not available in time for the May 21 issue of The Courier-Herald. A full story will appear in the May 28 edition.
