The Enumclaw School District's Kindergarten Instruction Project will hit full stride in April with information meetings and registration.

Kindergarten Instruction Project is the name the district is pinning on its full-day kindergarten program which will start in the fall.

District officials recently finished up two parent information nights at the district's four elementary schools which host a kindergarten program. From those meetings, district officials are creating a master list of parents who may be interested in a more traditional half-day program or are interested in exploring other options. Interested parents are asked to call the district office and talk with Pat Mock at 360-802-7102.

The district's kindergarten roundup, registration and orientation, will run the week of April 7 through 11. The schedule is as follows:

€ 7 p.m. April 3 at Sunrise Elementary.

€ 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 7 at Westwood Elementary, and again from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. April 8.

€ 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 8 at Black Diamond Elementary.

€ and by appointment April 8 and 9 at Kibler Elementary.

Children should be five years of age on or before Aug. 31.

Parents should bring a child's birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residence (for example, a lease, mortgage or utility bill).

For more information contact Mike Nelson, Chris Beals or Jill Burnes at 360-802-7109.
