A 17-year-old Bonney Lake male was among three people injured in a automobile-motorcyle collision May 8 near Eatonville.

According to a Washington State Patrol report, the accident occurred about 8 p.m. when a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by 25-year-old Charles Keith Weik of Silverdale was traveling southbound on state Route 7, passing several vehicles at a high rate of speed.

The motorcycle re-entered the southbound lane and struck a 1988 Honda Prelude in the rear. Weik was transported to Magidan Hospital, according to WSP. His passenger, 22-year-old Jessica Baldwin of Spanaway, was taken to Madigan Army Hospital.

The Bonney Lake teenager, a passenger in the Honda, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.

The driver of the Honda, Randy Wade, 18, of Liberty Lake, Wash., and a 16-year-old Spanaway female escaped injuries.

WSP reported all the car's passengers were wearing seat belts.

The southbound lane was closed of several hours as troopers alternated traffic one-way in the northbound lane.

WSP reported excessive speed and reckless driving caused the accident and charges are pending.
