Officers assist in arrest of Walmart murder suspect

Bonney Lake police assisted Lakewood Police Department when an armored car was robbed outside a Walmart June 2.

Two Bonney Lake detectives, one part-time detective and a detective sergeant helped with the investigation end of the case, Bonney Lake Police Chief Mike Mitchell said.

Following the robbery, which resulted in the death of an armored-car guard, police followed leads to locate and apprehend a suspect at a motel.

Bonney Lake officers assisted the SWAT team at the motel and the suspect’s vehicle was blocked.
