The right lane of westbound state Route 410 near 166th Avenue East remains blocked after a car collided with a power pole.

The male driver of the vehicle was the only person in the car. He suffered minor injuries.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor and police believe the man may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

The collision occurred on Westbound SR 410 at milepost 11 in Sumner at approximately 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Puget Sound Energy said 10 hours are needed to replace the pole, restore power and open the right lane to traffic. The Washington State Patrol and Washington State Department of Transportation Incident Response are on scene. The incident backed up traffic 2 miles east to the Sumner/Buckley Highway as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.
