Hansen Place and The Attic newly remodeled

Two venues in Sumner for hosting events like weddings are newly remodeled and ready to receive guests.

Marshall Bennett, who owns both properties, said the remodeling has occurred over time and is nearly finished.

The Hansen Place and The Attic, both on Main Street, feature fireplaces and indoor waterfalls amidst seating space for 150 guests and 125 guests, respectively.

Both locations have dressing rooms where customers can prepare for a special occasion and one of the rooms is equipped with a refrigerator and kitchenette.

The Attic, a 4,000 square-foot facility, has the original wooden floor and bricks from its construction in 1912. It features an upstairs venue which is far more opulent than the exterior of the building would lead people to believe.

Bennett is especially proud of this fact.

The dance floor features a mirror ball, which is not obtrusive when non-dancing events are held.

Tables and chairs are provided, which is one less responsibility for someone planning an event.

From the outside, The Hansen Place does not appear to be a wedding location, nor even a site for business meetings. The location is on the second floor of a business suite on Main Street in an unassuming building But on the inside, The Hansen Place is lavish and urbane, seeming more like a grand ballroom in a historic hotel.

With its dark wood paneling and large interior, it appears suited to a formal ceremony.
