Sumner Police Department participates in Chief for a Day

The Sumner Police Department is participating in the Chief for a Day event on Aug. 18. Every two years, the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center hosts tLe event in which agencies across the state can sponsor a child between the ages of 3 and 12 who suffers from a life threatening or chronic health condition. Sumner PD will be joining 20 other agencies in this year's event. At the Aug. 16 regular council meeting, the police department will be introducing Ethan Delarme as the Chief for a Day. The actual events will occur on Wednesday of that week at Qwest Field and the Police Training Academy.
