DISTRICT BASKETBALL: Sumner High girls fall to Fife, season is over
The Sumner High girls fell to Fife 51-47 Monday afternoon at Lakes High School.
The loss in the West Central/Southwest district tournament brought the Spartan girls' season to an end.

Bonney Lake's Dawes, Cunningham earned state wrestling titles
The Bonney Lake High wresting team finished third during last weekend’s Class 3A state tournament in the Tacoma Dome with a point total of 85.
The majority of those points were accrued when 120-pounder Andrew Cun-ningham claimed the state championship, dynamic 113-pound sophomore Colton Tracy finished second and Chili Sabin, 160 pounds, took third place.

Spartans roughride Port Angeles 62-48 | SHS Basketball
The Sumner High boys basketball squad, which finished second in the SPSL 2A with an 11-3 accounting, split two subdistrict games at Foster High, handing a scrappy Port Angeles squad a 62-48 setback on Friday before losing to White River 49-42 Saturday to take the No. 6 seed into this week's West Central District tournament.

The Bonney Lake Panther wrestlers finished fourth among 20 squads from around western Washington that made up the West Central District tournament Friday and Saturday and will be sending six grapplers to the state tournament.
