BLHS TENNIS: Panthers fall prey to league

The Bonney Lake High boys tennis team fell to 2-4 overall, 2-3 in South Puget Sound League 3A play, with a 5-0, home-court loss to Lakes High Sept. 22 and a 3-2 loss to Enumclaw Friday.
Lakes was so dominant, the Panthers didn’t win a set in the loss.
In singles play, No. 1 Andrew Leaf fell to Jordan Richardson, 6-2, 6-0, and Brody Fitzsimmons dropped his match to Jamar Williams, 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles action, Zach Volin and Denvin Crump lost to Jacob Yannello and Joel Richardson 6-3, 6-3 while the No. 2 doubles team of Sam Davidson and Spencer Workman fell by the same score to Wes Schneider and Markus Schrocler. And in third doubles, Cody Rae and Colton Moroles were defeated by Jong Moon and Jonathan Cruz 6-2, 7-5.
Against Enumclaw, Fitzsimmons picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory in second singles while Volin and Crump won a 6-3, 6-4 in second doubles play.
