The Sumner High Boys Baseball team will take on Washington High School twice today in an away game double-header.

The double feature is intended to make up for a rained out home game yesterday. A rainy spring has caused numerous postponements for baseball, fastpitch softball, tennis and other outdoor sports.

The first WHS game will begin at 3:30 p.m., and a 5 p.m. game is scheduled afterward.

Spartan baseball has not yet faced off with the Patriots this season, but the hobbling 1-6  Parkland school could provide an opportunity for the visitors to tip the scales on their own record. The Spartans has traveled peaks and valleys this season, and the team slipped to a 3-4 season conference standing following a 6-0 shutout by Fife High School Friday.
