Snohomish drops Lake Tapps, advances to state quarterfinal | Prep Lacrosse

Snohomish advanced to the quarterfinals of the Washington Girl's Lacrosse State Championship tournament with a 19 - 5 opening-round playoff win over Lake Tapps, Monday at Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish.

The win sets up a Thursday matchup for #6 Snohomish with #3 Lake Sammamish.  The location and time will be determined on Tuesday.

Snohomish got off to an aggressive start outscoring #11 Lake Tapps 12 - 2 in the first before adding seven more in the final half to cruise to the win.

Stephanie Lamphere, Megan Davis and Hailey Nyquist all led the way for Snohomish with three goals each.  Lamphere had three assists and Nyquist grabbed four ground balls.

Brianna Berg, Sara Jane Vargus, Jazmin Braden, Madison Fabie and Gabrielle Totman all scored for Lake Tapps, and Nicole Burkauser had 12 saves in goal.

Lake Tapps concludes its season 7-6-0 (7-5-0 in the regular season)
