UPDATE: The article previously stated the Spartans lost to Kingston 7-2. The team actually defeated Kingston 7-2.
Sumner High's fastpitch team was won two games and lost three at the West Central District tournament Friday and Saturday.
The Spartans began well with a 3-1 win over North Mason Friday at Sprinker Recreation Center in Tacoma.
The team lost 9-0 to Interlake in the second game Friday.
Saturday the Spartans beat Washington 15-5, then beat Kingston 7-2, and then lose 13-0 to Sequim, knocking them out of contention for state.
