Panther soccer advances to state tournament with 4-0 win

The Bonney Lake Panthers girls soccer team on Saturday advanced to the State 3A tournament as the district 3/4 No. 1 seed with a decisive 4-0 victory over North Thurston.

The Panthers got it started early with a goal by Haleigh Ryneski in the eighth minute off an assist from Jessyka Seger and Bonney Lake never looked back.

In the 16th minute, Madi Adams took a pass from Lindey Hanbidge and made the score 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Kelsey Lund made it a three goal lead off an assist by Alex Osland.

In the second half, Nate DeLeon got another insurance goal for the Panthers off an assist from Shona Ramsay.

The Panthers next take on Kelso Thursday at Sunset Chev Stadium in the first game of the state tournament. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals.

This is the sixth straight state tournament appearance, and seventh all-time, in Bonney Lake High School's eight-year history.
