Panthers win conference season opener against Auburn Mountainview | Bonney Lake Boys Soccer

Bonney Lake's boys soccer team defeated the Auburn Mountainview Lions 3-1 Monday night in the first conference game of the spring season.

The Lions' Carlos Colmenares made the first and only goal of the night at the 8-minute mark, assisted by Jean Marie Nsengiyumva.

Brody Fitzsimmons countered, at 13 minutes, with a goal assisted by Suwilanji Silozi.

Brian Grob followed up at 39 minutes with an assist by Fitzsimmons, and Fitzsimmons later closed the third goal of the night with another assist by Silozi.

The opening win gives the Panthers a 1-0-0 in the South Puget Sound League 3A record book. They have a 4-3-0 record overall in the 2013 spring season.

The Panthers play a conference game at Decatur High Wednesday.
