Spartans top Franklin Pierce 4-1 | Sumner Baseball

Sumner's baseball team defeated Franklin Pierce 4-1 Monday afternoon in conference play.

Sumner took one run in the top of the first inning, two in the third, and a final run in the sixth.

Spartan Gage Whitehead went to bat four times and connected three times. He ran to home plate twice.

On the mound, Logan Christensen pitched six innings and struck out twelve Cardinals.

The Spartans are now 7-2 in the South Puget Sound League 2A conference. They play Franklin Pierce again Tuesday.
