Levig named state Player of the Year
Sumner High’s Jocelyn Levig was recently named the Class 3A Player of the Year as selected by a panel of sports writers from around the state. Levig, a senior, outside hitter, led the Spartans to a fifth-place finish at the state tournament. She plans to play at the University of Oregon this fall.
She was also a first-team all-state selection.
Enumclaw’s Gabbi Sisco, who will also attend the U of O with Levig, was honorable mention at setter, and Bonney Lake’s Karly Edwards was an honorable mention at libero. Enumclaw also made the state tournament.
In the girls 3A state soccer voting, Sumner forward Amber Fenton was a first-team selection.
