Spartan tumblers return to action

The Sumner High gymnastics crew, idled for the past month due to poor weather and the holiday break, return to action with two meets next week.
Coach Kimmie Marton and her crew will trek to Federal Way Monday for a three-way meet with the host team from Todd Beamer High and Puyallup High. Then, on Jan. 14, the Spartans will host their first meet of the season, taking on Thomas Jefferson, Kentridge and Decatur. Monday’s meet was originally slated for Dec. 17 but was scrapped due to inclement weather.
