Panthers defeat Yelm

The Bonney Lake High girls split in singles action and won all three double matches to pick up a 4-1 nonleague tennis victory over Yelm Thursday at home.

Alise McCoy and Katie Barrie easily won their doubles match 6-0, 6-0, while Emily McCoy and Kayl Babcock downed their opponents 6-0, 6-2.

Emily Peiss and Jessica Roller posted a 6-0, 6-3 win.

The Panthers return to the court next week for a pair of Class 3A South Puget Sound League contests. After spring break, they face Enumclaw at home Tuesday and host Clover Park April 9.
