In girls’ double action at Class 3A West Central District tournament, Bonney Lake and Sumner were playing for a chance at state.

Bonney Lake’s sister duo of Emily and Alisa McCoy opened up play with a 6-4, 7-5, win over Natalie Goode and Torri Middlekauff of Hazen at Sprinker Recreation Center in Parkland, Wash.

Sumner’s Emily Taylor and Reanne Charuhas lost to the Henderson duo in first-round action, 6-4, 6-2. They played Goode and Middlekauff in the consolation bracket, while the McCoys played the Hendersons.

No results had been reported at press time Monday.

The McCoys claimed the No. 4 seed after falling to the Auburn Mountainview team, 6-3, 6-4.
