Bonney Lake High split a pair of South Puget Sound League 3A boys tennis matches.

Bonney Lake took a 4-1 win at home Sept. 28, then Sept. 30 fell to Lakes 4-1.

In the win over Clover Park, the Panthers won the singles matches by a forfeit and a default.

In doubles action, Sam Davidson and Nathan Scott won 6-1, 6-2 and Jeff Abella and Spencer Workman posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Adrian Gonzoles and Ryan Slavan lost 3-6, 7-6, 7-6;

Zach Volin and Devon Crump’s win in No. 2 doubles kept the Panthers from getting shut out against Lakes at home.

The No. 1 doubles team of Steve Scott and Ben Davidson lost 6-0, 6-2 and the No. 3 pair of Andrew Allen and Sam Davidson fell 6-0, 6-0.

In singles action, No. 1 Taylor Pringle was shut out by Jordan Richardson 6-0, 6-0 and No. 2 Ben Davidson was also blanked by Justin Shuck.

The Panthers, 3-5 overall, will travel to Auburn Mountainview Friday and host Sumner Monday in SPSL 3A play.
