GIRLS BASKETBALL: Bonney Lake beats Peninsula, Sumner downs Enumclaw

Marcel Pounds scored a season-high 30 points as the Bonney Lake Panthers blasted the Peninsula Seahawks, 66-33, Dec. 8.
It was the Panthers' fourth consecutive win this season.
After Bonney Lake built a 27-17 lead at halftime, the Panther exploded for a 30-3 run in the third to put the game out of reach.
Brittany Kennedy and Emily McCoy chipped in 7 points each in the SPSL win.
Sumner 63, Enumclaw 43
Ericka Olson hit a game-high 24 points and Kaitlin King had 21 as the Sumner Spartans whipped the Enumclaw Hornets in SPSL 3A action Dec. 8 at home.
The Spartans took a 33-20 lead into intermission.
The Hornets cut the lead by nine in the third period, 43-34, but Sumner answered with a 19-9 run to close out the game.
