BOYS BASKETBALL: Marquez, Williams lead BLHS in loss

Auburn Mountainview handed Bonney Lake High boys basketball team a 54-48 loss on the road Dec. 15 in South Puget Sound League 3A action.
The Lions took a 16-8 lead into the second period, but Bonney Lake trimmed the margin by four, 29-25, at halftime.
Going into the final quarter, the Panthers trailed by 36-35, but the Lions outscored Bonney Lake, 18-13, in the final stanza.
Chad Marquez and Lawrence Williams led Bonney Lake with 16 points each.
The Panther cagers then faced an even taller task when they hosted a 2-1 Lakes squad Thursday and were swatted aside by the Lancer ballers 81-32. The score at intermission was 32-12 Lakes. The Lancers had three players hit double scoring figures, the only Panther to do it was Ramsey Thoms with 10 points.
