STATE BASKETBALL THURSDAY: Panthers lead at end of third quarter

In round two of the Washington Class 3A state basketball tournament, the Bonney Lake Panthers lead the Capital Cougars 39-28 at the end of the third quarter. Both teams lost Wednesday and are squaring off in a loser-out contest. Through the opening 24 minutes, the Panthers are led by Marcel Pounds' 15 points.
